Spring Revival - Vienna, Austria
Praise the Lord and many greeting from Vienna.
Three great days of spring revival in Vienna with Bro. and Sis. Abernathy came to and end. But at the same time is also a new beginning for many seekers. Bro. Abernathy blessed the congregation in Vienna in a great way and we had many visitors and several received the Holy Ghost for the first time. But today, I am particular excited and happy to report that an Austrian lady had received the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues. She is a friend of our church secretary Sis. Evelyne Kafka. It is happening right here in Vienna.
I can not believe how hungry many of the young people are. They are like sponges ready to hear and soak up the word of God. Now I am not just saying this to fill the spaces of this page. Today, following our revival services and fellowship I spend an additional 2 hours in Bible Study with Arno and Dragan, both in their mid twenties. They had many, many questions and just love to talk about God. Arno is a stock market analyst with an IT degree and he is studying to get his degree in finance. Drago and his mother are former Jehovah's witnesses and both have been baptized in the name of Jesus!!!! Would you pray for God to touch their hearts with a fire and an annointing to reach their friends and families!
God is giving the increase in Vienna after great missionaries labored for many years. We believe that God is weaving a basket with many different people and talents preparing the church for a great and mighty revival in Europe.

“Expat Communities All Over the World are a Forgotten Harvest Field.”
A Corporate Missionary to Asia—the ninetyandnine interview
November 5, 2007
Interviewed By Kent d Curry
Do you know about my sister? said the email. She’s a Corporate Missionary; every time her family’s company reassigns her to a new country to work, they take it as a call from God to minister to the professionals there. You should interview her.
Naturally, I was intrigued. What was a Corporate Missionary and how do you get ordained? Soon enough I was interviewing her.
Due to possible security issues in her latest country, she’s asked that her family name go unmentioned. Naturally, to get the scoop on this unique calling, we agreed. (No worries, the facts have been confirmed and the source verified.) We even interviewed her husband, as he didn’t grow up in Pentecost, and has a different take on their adventures.
We interviewed her in early September 2007.

Vienna to host world's first-ever 'divorce fair' -
Sad but true - 66% of all marriages in Vienna, Austria end in divorce!
Vienna is to host what organisers have dubbed the world's first "divorce fair" this month, aimed at couples whose wedding dreams have turned sour and who need help in untying the knot as painlessly as possible.
Nearly 50 percent of all marriages in Austria end in divorce -- the figure is 66 percent in Vienna -- and the two-day fair is being held under the motto: "Start your life afresh". Organisers are hoping it will bloom into a twice-yearly event.
At the October 27-28 event, would-be divorcees can consult, anonymously if they wish, a whole host of lawyers and mediators on their rights and obligations, and seek advice on frequently difficult questions, such as alimony and child access.

Switzerland: Europe's heart of darkness?
Switzerland is known as a haven of peace and neutrality. But today it is home to a new extremism that has alarmed the United Nations. Proposals for draconian new laws that target the country's immigrants have been condemned as unjust and racist. A poster campaign, the work of its leading political party, is decried as xenophobic. Has Switzerland become Europe's heart of darkness?
...But far more dramatically, it has announced its intention to lay before parliament a law allowing the entire family of a criminal under the age of 18 to be deported as soon as sentence is passed.
It will be the first such law in Europe since the Nazi practice of Sippenhaft – kin liability – whereby relatives of criminals were held responsible for their crimes and punished equally....
...The proposal will be a test case not just for Switzerland but for the whole of Europe, where a division between liberal multiculturalism and a conservative isolationism is opening up in political discourse in many countries, the UK included...
